Lambourn Flooding 2007

Excessive rains caused severe flooding in the village of Lambourn in July 2007. The floods were at the southern end of the village as run off water cascaded down the valley and through the racing yard of Windsor House and the village at Crowle road and carried on through the houses at Old Coach Works, flooding them and continued through the car park flooding Universal Stores and on to the High Street and down Newbury Street. Flooding was also severe in Upper Lambourn as water cascaded from the flooded fields. The Army was called in to distribute sandbags along Crowle Road.
