Five Vacancies on Lambourn Parish Council

Another vacancy has arisen on the Lambourn Parish Council leaving a total of five vacant positions. Have you thought about becoming a Parish Councillor and getting involved in all the manyfold things the Parish Council manages? You could help to set the direction for Lambourn? You can either stand for election in May 2021 or you can contact the council directly with a view to the council co-opting you to become a Councillor without the need for an election.

NOTICE OF VACANCY IN THE
OFFICE OF PARISH COUNCILLOR
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that

Mr Jerry Winfield

Formerly a Member of the Lambourn Parish Council has ceased to be a Member and a casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor of the Lambourn Parish for the Upper Lambourn Ward.
On receipt of a request in writing from any ten local government electors for the Lambourn Ward (Upper Lambourn), an election to fill the vacancy will be held on a date determined by the Returning Officer. If no such request is made the vacancy will be filled by co-option by the Parish Council.
However due to the current situation, if a poll is requested, the poll will be postponed until the 6th May 2021 under the Coronavirus Act 2020 and the Local Government and Police and Crime Commissioner (Coronavirus) (Postponement of Elections and Referendums) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020.
