Lambourn is located on the upper chalk layer of the North Downs. The geology of the area is fascinating and not only influences the look of the Downland but also how man has settled here and is making use of the geological features in our daily lives from the water we drink to the industries such as horse racing which support the economy of the Valley of the Racehorse.
