First Aid Training Success

Twelve more Lambourn Valley Residents are now qualified first aiders thanks to a free First Aid at Work course organised by The Lambourn Junction CIC. In a rural community like the Lambourn Valley, where emergency services can sometimes take longer to arrive, having more people with the confidence and skills to step in during those vital first few minutes can make a real difference.
The course was expertly led by Miles Haffenden from Haffenden Training Solutions, who guided participants through all the practical and theoretical training needed to achieve their first aid certificate. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with everyone saying they now feel much more confident about responding to emergencies, whether at home, at work or out in the community.

Participants were also encouraged to sign up to the GoodSAM app, which alerts nearby trained first aiders when someone experiences a time critical medical emergency, allowing help to arrive even before an ambulance.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, to Miles for delivering such an excellent course, and to The Greenham Trust for making it all possible through their generous grant. Together, we have welcomed another 12 certified first aiders into our community, making the Lambourn Valley a safer place for everyone.
