Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company

The Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company was set up in April 2021 as a not-for-profit company to encourage, enable and operate community activities in Lambourn and the surrounding area. The name and logo of the company is based on the Lambourn Railway line which connected the community, brought employment and prosperity and was an essential part of Lambourn life.

Lambourn has many community spirited individuals who are willing to give their time to help others. However sometimes the rules and regulations required to run a project or activity can be overwhelming. This is where the Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company comes in. We can help by providing the structure to allow the volunteers to focus on the projects whilst the company takes care of things like insurance, health and safety, risk assessments, DBS checks, a bank account and also financial help or applying for grants for the project.

Projects can be of an ongoing nature such as the Lambourn Food Hub or a one off event such as a litter picking day or a community event. As long as the activity benefits the residents of Lambourn and the surrounding area, is not-for-profit and is not linked to political organisations we are happy to consider supporting it through the structure of the Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company.

Projects which the Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company already supports and operates are:

There are many other community projects the we are looking to support including setting up a youth club as well as supporting one-off community events.

The aim is simple:
to encourage and nurture the great community spirit which makes Lambourn and the surrounding area such a great place to live
