86        PLANNING CORRESPONDENCE

21/01628/LBC2 – Hawthorn Cottage, Road know as High Street, Upper Lambourn – Single storey ground floor conservatory. No Objection. REFUSED.

21/01608/HOUSE + 21/01609/LBC2 – Fiddlers Well, The Old Farm, Road Known as Newbury Road, Eastbury – Removal of existing store, garden store and oil tank. Erection of replacement store. Raise existing chimney by 4 courses, and erection of 2 no. 900mm cannon head chimney pots. – No Objection. APPROVED.

21/01594/HOUSE – 37 Baydon Rod, Lambourn – Demolish existing conservatory, new single storey rear extension. No Objection. APPROVED.

21/00972/FULMAJ – Land North of Newbury Road, Lambourn – Erection of Eight, Semi-detached dwellings, parking, landscaping and associated works. Additional drawings/Amended plans have been received. Objection. Twice as many houses as allocated for site LAM015. This will lead to more cars exiting the 5 driveways onto Newbury Road, which is busy and a route to the gallops. Extra cars will need more parking spaces, likely on the nearby roads. Detrimental impact on the AONB. The design of the houses in unimaginative and inappropriate. The site is very open and given Highways comments about the driveway splays, screening will be dependent on new planting. The level of rent (80% of local private rental) is too high for the relevant local demand (those earning below £23803 per annum). Access is unsuitable for older residents, who are another group in need of housing in Lambourn. There are major concerns about drainage and capacity of the sewers. APPROVED.

21/01540/FUL – Lambourn Church of England Primary School, Edwards Hill, Lambourn – Existing play structure deemed rotten and failed annual inspection. Want to replace existing structure with play equipment of similar size “Pinta’s Columbus Galleon” timber boat. No Objection. APPROVED.
