The Pheasant – East Garston (B4000) – The Pheasant is one of the most famous racing pubs in the area. Recently extended it now offers excellent accommodation and is within easy reach of Lambourn as well as the M4 motorway. Ideal for the Lambourn Open Day.
The Plough – Eastbury, Situated one and a half miles from Lambourn. The Plough at Eastbury is a hidden gem in this beautiful unspoilt rural village nestled in the heart of “The Valley of the Racehorse”. Where the River Lambourn flows through and fresh water trout are visible in the clear spring water. The pub dates from the 18th Century, c1750 and was believed to be a busy coaching inn.
The Queens Arms – East Garston – Nestling in the tranquil heart of the Lambourn Valley lies the Queen’s Arms, a picturesque 18th century country inn where the traditions of yesteryear and a bygone England are held dear. Featuring an outstanding restaurant and welcoming bar as well as eight beautifully designed bedrooms, the Queen’s Arms is first and foremost a village pub, but one where all visitors are made to feel like a local.
The Swan – In Shefford in the Valley of the Racehorse – From traditional Sunday lunch and gastro pub food, light bites and Sandwiches to quality barista coffee, delicious cakes and pastries, The Swan is your local riverside gastro pub that offers a large terrace backing onto the Lambourn River. The little ones also have a special selection with The Cygnet Menu. Dogs are welcome in the bar area. Open all day.
The Wheelwrights Arms – Lambourn – Situated in the centre of the village, this is a pub of unique qualities, it is booming with local characters. Decorated with Wall-to-wall horse racing memorabilia, there is always live sports coverage available. The pub has a sports room, with both a dartboard and pool table.
