Lambourn Community Bus joins the Lambourn Junction Company
The Lambourn Junction announced that The Lambourn Community Bus, which has been serving the community for many years, will now be operated under the auspices of the Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company. A big thank you to Eileen Horton who organised the bus until she moved away in June. Julie Blogg, assisted by Lorraine Gibbs will be organising the bus service whilst the not-for-profit company will provide services such as banking, accounting and insurance.
The Lambourn Community Bus operates every Wednesday:
9.05 Great Shefford – the Mead Junction with main road
9.10 East Garston – the bridge
9.15 East Garston – Village hall
9.20 Eastbury – outside the Plough
9.30 Lambourn – Market Place
9:50 arrive at Wantage Market Place
12:10 depart from Wantage Market Place
12:30 arrive in Lambourn and then continues on as per the outward journey
Tickets cost £5 return and the journey has a great community atmosphere.
We also arrange a number of trips from Lambourn. The most recent one was a very successful outing to Bournemouth for a day by the seaside. Upcoming trips are:
Lechlade Garden Centre – 28th September leaving Lambourn at 9.00 and returning for 2.30. Cost £5
Shopping – Marlborough – 18th October leaving Lambourn at 9.00 returning for 2.30. Cost £6.50
Christmas shopping trip to Birmingham – 16th November. Cost £18. Full details coming soon. Bookings will open on 1 November.
