Potholes – reporting works!

Here is an example of a success story which proves that reporting potholes really does work. Thank you West Berks Council!

A Lambourn.Org reader sent us this positive note from West Berks Council providing a detailed update to the concerns raised:

Hungerford Hill had nine potholes repaired with plugging on order number 2021-26418. Hungerford Hill is on the highway improvement programme for 2021/22 and will have its surface improved between its junction with Crowle Road and its junction at the top of the road with Ermin Street.

The failing trench close to the War Memorial near the crossroads in Parsonage Lane was repaired on the 23/01/21 on order number 2021-26547.

Five potholes in Oxford Street between the junction of Mill Lane and number 1 Northfield Terrace were temporarily repaired with plugging on the 23/01/21 and will be permanently repaired using four carriageway patches within the next 38 days.

One pothole at the bottom Sheepdrove Road was temporarily repaired on the 23/01/21 on its junction with Oxford Road next to an inspection cover and will be permanently repaired within the next 38 days.

Oxford Road is inspected by our safety inspectors on a monthly route 1M18-2D and they repair potholes when they reach our investigatory repair levels.

Reporting potholes, broken streetlamps etc is really easy by going to www.FixMyStreet.com You can see if the issue has already been reported. Your request will be routed to the appropriate authority so you do not need to work out who is responsible.
