Opportunity to stand for election to the Lambourn Parish Council
There is an opportunity to nominate yourself, or be nominated, for election for the position of Parish Councillor for the Lambourn Ward. If you wish to nominate yourself you need to collect the nomination papers from West Berkshire Council in Newbury and submit them by the date set out in the notice. If there is only one nomination then you will be appointed (subject to you meeting the qualifying criteria). If more than one candidate is nominated than an election will take place on the 28th April.

- Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, West Berkshire Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD on any day after the date of this notice, on Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4 pm on Wednesday, 30th March 2022.
- Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, West Berkshire Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD, during the times stated above.
- If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 28th April 2022.
- Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Friday, 8th April 2022. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
- Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at West Berkshire Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD by 5 pm on Monday, 11th April 2022.
- New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at West Berkshire Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD by 5 pm on Wednesday, 20th April 2022.
- Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at West Berkshire Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury, RG14 5LD by 5 pm on Thursday, 28th April 2022. The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5 pm on Wednesday, 20th April 2022. To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5 pm on Wednesday, 20th April 2022.
