Litter Free Lambourn!
Over 20 volunteers, organised by Julie Pitt, tackled the litter on the streets, verges and green spaces of Lambourn today. Everyone was allocated an area of the village which they then cleared armed with bags, gloves and litter pickers. Litter hotspots such as the old cricket field were cleared resulting in many bags of rubbish being taken away. It was great to see so many residents of Lambourn turning out in this spring clean action which Julie hopes to make a regular event to keep Lambourn tidy.
Thank you everyone for your help! I was very surprised to see so many people willing to help keep the village tidy!
Well done Julie Pitt. What an amazing effort to launch an initiative like this.
Fantastic work by all concerned and especially Julie for getting it organised.
Sad that it is needed as just a few thoughtless people can create a lot of mess.
It is harmful to wildlife as well as being unsightly.
