Village calendar sales give £550 boost to Lambourn Surgery

A Lambourn charity has just received a £550 boost thanks to sales of the Lambourn 2026 calendar, produced by Sara Bartlett.

The money has gone to Lambourn Surgery Amenities Fund, a charity providing equipment and amenities which are outside the normal scope of the surgery or NHS funding.

Receiving the cheque from Sara Bartlett was the surgery’s managing partner, Louise Murray-Clarke, pictured left, and fund treasurer, Liz Cox, right.

Louise Murray-Clarke said:  “We are looking to purchase a replacement centrifuge as ours has broken.  This is a multi-purpose device which separates components of samples such as blood.

“It allows us to take bloods in the afternoon, so is invaluable to the surgery in terms of keeping wait times down for a blood test.   This donation will cover half the cost, which is brilliant!  Thank you to everyone who bought calendars!”

This is the second year that Sara Bartlett has produced a calendar for Lambourn village, with photographs all taken by herself and her husband, Frank Penhaligan.

She said:  “After the success of last year’s calendar I felt able to order a higher print run this year, which has made a significant difference to the amount I was able to give to this very worthy charity as, once again, they all sold out.   The majority of the sales were achieved by Lambourn Universal Stores, so a massive well done to team there, for championing the cause!  Thanks also to Ostrich Print, at Greenham Park, for making such a lovely job of the printing.”
