Wild West Fun in Lambourn
Almost 50 children of the Lambourn Youth Junction enjoyed a rootin’ tootin’ wild-west themed bash last Tuesday night, to celebrate the end of another busy school year.
With a bucking bronco ride, tin-can alley, and many other stalls, the LYJ team pulled out all the stops to ensure the inaugural summer event was one to remember. The weather, for once, was kind allowing the event to be held outside with donated hay bales adding to the authentic wild west atmosphere.
Local catering companies provided a range of food including burgers, hotdogs, corn-on-the-cobs and themed cupcakes. A local DJ provided the music and there was even a live line-dancing session.
The event was “brilliant”, according to reports afterwards, and the LYJ team are already planning their next activities. A special thanks goes to local suppliers Moon Valley Balloons, All Counties Catering, Cakey McCakeface, Sky’s the Limits Inflatables, and Laura Quintin.
The Lambourn Youth Junction is where young people meet, socialise, participate in activities, enjoy themselves and learn – all in a safe supervised environment and free of charge.
Change of Venue: From August onwards we meet in Lambourn every Monday at the Lambourn Centre from 6:30pm to 8pm and are open to young people in school years 5 to 9.
