Opened in 1993 as a purpose built community facility, the Centre is situated in the heart of the village of Lambourn with easy access from Newbury, Wantage, Hungerford and Swindon.
The Lambourn Centre provides a range of sport and leisure activities for the community of Lambourn and beyond. The Centre has developed an extensive and diverse programme that meets the needs of the local population and is home to local voluntary groups and organisations as well as our popular Valley Under 5s Toddler Group.
In addition to the activities provided, we are also able to boast an excellent fitness /gym facility. Expressions Fitness is equipped with the latest cardio-vascular and resistance training machines.
We have a fully equipped meeting room for all your business needs. Ideal for holding meetings or training courses, this room is also the home of Lambourn Racehorse Trainers ‘Hall of Fame’.

Fred Winter Room
Measuring 6.5m x 6m, this fully furnished room can accommodate up to 30 people and is used for meetings The room is named after one of Lambourn’s most successful Racehorse trainers. The walls are full of history in the form of pictures and placards and is a ‘Hall of Fame’ for all the local Racehorse Trainers through the years.
The room also has a kitchen / preparation area.
Ethel Jacobs Room
Measuring
9m x 6m, The Ethel Jacobs Room is named after the old headmistress of
Lambourn Primary School which used to be on the site.
This room has
an all-purpose floor covering so is ideal for young children’s sessions
like parties and arts and crafts. It is also used for adult activities
such as Pilate’s .The Ethel Jacobs Room has a fully equipped preparation
area and kitchen.
Main Hall
Measuring 16m x 16m, the Main Hall can accommodate a wide range of activities such as badminton, football, aerobics, children’s parties and soft play sessions. The hall is also ideal for special events such as exhibitions, theatrical plays and other activities requiring a large area.
Expressions Fitness
Built 4 years after the main building, Expressions Fitness is a purpose built fitness gym spread over 2 floors. Boasting some of the most modern and user friendly exercise machinery, it also has a large sauna.. The Lambourn Centre is also linked to the local village surgery under the GP referral Scheme. This scheme invites patients to commence a 12 week fitness programme which will be closely monitored by one of our trained consultants. This is an excellent scheme to join if you are currently seeing your Doctor for health related conditions such as high blood pressure, obesity or injury.
