Remembrance Day 2022

On a sunny morning, Lambourn remembered the fallen on Remembrance Day, the service was led by Rev Julie Minten.
The Royal British Legion standard bearer was John North, while the women’s section standard bearer was Victoria Moxon, Nicola McGuinness was the Royal Navy Association standard Bearer.
Gareth Coulson from Wantage Silver Band sounded the Last Post and Reveille. The Exhortation was read by the president of the Lambourn branch of RBL, Margaret Leahy.
The Kohima Epitaph was recited by branch chairman Ernie Bennett, while the names of the Lambourn fallen were read by Peter Penfold. Local organisations which laid wreaths included St Michael and All Angels Church, Lambourn Royal British Legion, Lambourn RBL Women’s section, Lambourn Parish Council, Guides and Brownies and Lambourn Sports Club.
