New Altar Frontal Dedication 2011
On Sunday 30th January 2011 the Rev Bill Stewart conducted a service of dedication of our new altar frontal in memory of Jane Busby. The work was commissioned by John Busby and undertaken by Valerie Williams, a member of Stitch Textile Artists and the Newbury Branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild.
John was joined on the occasion by daughters Helen and Sarah-Jane and their families. Lilies were a particular favourite of Jane and those embroidered on the side panels are based on artwork created for the service sheet for Jane’s funeral.
