Music for Good Friday in Lambourn

You are warmly invited to a special Good Friday concert at St Michael and All Angels Church on Friday 3rd April 2026 at 7:30pm .

Performed by the Lambourn Church Choir and Friends, the programme features McDowall’s Canterbury Mass and Schubert’s Mass in G. The combination offers a lovely balance of modern warmth and timeless beauty. McDowall’s setting brings a fresh, lyrical clarity, while Schubert’s much-loved work is full of graceful melodies and gentle, reflective moments.

Together, these pieces create a moving and uplifting evening, ideal for quiet reflection at the start of the Easter weekend. The welcoming atmosphere makes it a wonderful opportunity to enjoy live music in the heart of the village.

Admission is free, with a retiring collection in aid of the Organ Restoration Fund .
