Infectious Illnesses

The surgery is currently seeing extremely high numbers of patients with infectious illnesses. Particularly, Scarlet Fever (see below)

Although mask wearing is no longer compulsory, it is suggested wearing a mask when attending the practice, if you can, for the protection of yourself and others.

If you are vulnerable to infectious illnesses, please be aware of the above. If you would prefer to wait in your car for your appointment, please let a member of the reception team know.

Finally, if you have not been vaccinated against influenza & are eligible, we suggest booking this as soon as you can. Flu vaccine available is still available.

Scarlet Fever

As you will have heard in the media there is a high level of Scarlet Fever in the UK currently, and locally we are certainly experiencing this too. If you are attending the surgery because you suspect you or your child may have Scarlet Fever. please wear a mask as it is highly infectious. Please see the following guidance on how to manage and the warning signs for when to seek help
