Lambourn Shed clears the way

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for the path-clearing event between Lambourn and Upper Lambourn – the turnout was fantastic! We kicked off the day with a breakfast BBQ, setting the tone with sizzling sausages, bacon, and plenty of hot drinks.

With tools in hand and a great sense of community spirit, we tackled the overgrown path together. It wasn’t just about the hard work; the morning was filled with lively chats, laughter, and that unbeatable feeling of getting something meaningful done as a team. The before-and-after photos truly say it all!

This was the first of many events for The Lambourn Shed, and it couldn’t have been a better start. A huge shout-out to Adrian for organising the day and to everyone who supported and attended. Special thanks to the members of the Hungerford Shed for lending their time and expertise, and to the considerate drivers who slowed down and gave us the space we needed to work safely – we really appreciate it. Ans a further thanks goes to the litter pickers who collected so many bags of rubbish.

We’re excited to announce the next Lambourn Shed event: building bird boxes on 9th February. Everyone’s welcome, no experience is needed, and yes, we’ll have breakfast baps with sausages and bacon to fuel the fun! Whether you’re a seasoned DIYer or just curious to try something new, come along and join us.
