Lambourn CofE Primary Celebrates Glowing Ofsted Report

Lambourn CofE Primary School is celebrating after receiving a glowing Ofsted report, which described the school as offering a “magical learning environment” where children “feel safe and very happy.”
Inspectors praised the “highest expectations” set by staff and the strong sense of belonging pupils enjoy. One child summed it up beautifully, saying: “Lambourn is a village of champions.”

The report highlights the school’s calm and respectful atmosphere, where behaviour is described as “impeccable.” Pupils are “extremely polite” with “good manners” and act as positive role models for each other. Strong relationships between staff, parents and carers support this success, alongside expert teaching and excellent pastoral care.
Opportunities for pupils go far beyond the classroom. From swimming in the school’s own pool to leadership roles such as caring for the chickens or becoming reading buddies, children are encouraged to set goals, celebrate achievements and look after their well-being. These experiences help prepare them for secondary school and life beyond.

Principal Maria Cupit said: “We are delighted that the report reflects our unique ethos and community spirit. Every member of our school family plays a part in this success.”
