In accordance with The Local Authorities and Police and Crime Panels (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority and Police and Crime Panel Meetings) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020 which allows local councils to meet remotely.

Acceptance of apologies for absence

Schedule 12 of the Local Government Act 1972 requires a record to be kept of the members present and that this record form part of the minutes of the meeting. Members who cannot attend a meeting should tender apologies to the Parish Clerk as it is usual for the grounds upon which apologies are tendered also to be recorded. Under Section 85(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, members present must decide whether the reason(s) for a member’s absence are accepted.

20/02234LBC2 – Weathercock House, Upper Lambourn – Urgent repairs to two central load bearing walls following the partial collapse into a historic well located below. Temporary supports have been installed to prevent further collapse/damage to the unsupported walls, however, there are ongoing concerns about overall structural stability until a permanent repair is implemented.  Action JW + MBJ

            Proposal from the Clerk to ensure that the Council is legally complaint with a website.

            Quote 1: Netwiseuk Premier package –          £599 + £300 pa

            Quote 2: myparihcouncil.co.uk                      £230 per day + £10 per month hosting.

            Quote 3: websitesforparishcouncils.co.uk      £348 for website design + £150 pa hosting.

            Alternatively accept the working party website proposal which is still outstanding.

            Proposal to discuss the WBC draft leisure strategy 2021 – 2031, responses required to be in by 19 November 2020.

110      RIVER LITTER PICK

            Request received from ARK for the Parish Council to assist with the scheduled litter pick (end of November) which has been requested by a resident. They are asking for the Parish Council to dispose of the litter collected.
