From the Museum: Froude the Baker

In 1912, Frederick and Alice Froude moved to Lambourn from Hungerford with their 4 children. His baker’s shop was in Newbury street at the junction with Station Road.
Their eldest daughter, Maud Alice Froude, married Harry James Busby who’s own father was a baker and confectioner which caused quite a stir in the family.
