Christmas Tree Recycling
5 January 2022 – A message from West Berkshire Council
Now that the Christmas festivities are over, we’ve received a lot of questions regarding what should be done with your Christmas trees and whether we will be collecting them.
The answer is YES, we will be collecting real Christmas trees. Currently, we have a temporary suspension on garden and food waste collections which ends on 8 January 2022. We’ll be collecting real Christmas trees on your next garden/food waste collection from 10 January 2022, so please place your real tree out then for us to collect. Please remember to remove all decorations and pots. Trees larger than 4 ft must be cut in half.
If you can’t wait that long, trees can be taken to the household waste recycling centres. Please remember to book an appointment before you visit here: https://www.westberks.gov.uk/clickandtip
