At Chilton Foliat Primary School we honour our educational heritage, supported by a strong Christian ethos. We strive to provide a diverse education that inspires children to develop a thirst for knowledge. This is delivered in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment promoting self-discipline, motivation and excellence in learning. We encourage strong partnerships and positive relationships amongst pupils, parents, carers, staff and the wider community.

Our intention is to offer the best of educational experience, in the widest sense, full of enrichment and engagement with our local community and further afield. Our curriculum is broad, balanced, connected and values based. We believe that our values encourage reflective and inspirational attitudes and attitudes which can be nutured to help all our children discover the very best of themselves. As a result, our children leave Chilton Foliat Primary School as well rounded young adults, who strive to achieve their best, have a strong sense of community, and are kind, loyal and fair.

St Gabriel's in Newbury offers an innovative and inspiring education to children from the age of 6 months to 18 years. A minibus transport service offers pick up points in Lambourn, Great Shefford and surrounding areas .
We are proud that a St Gabriel’s education allows our pupils, be they the children in the nursery and Junior School or in the Senior School and Sixth Form, to move on to the next stage of their education with a lifelong intellectual curiosity, the ability to question and challenge and a confidence and belief in their ability.
We provide an environment that allows children to develop physically, academically and creatively.
While justifiably proud of our pupils’ academic results, we see education as being so much more than numbers and grades; we believe strongly in an all-round education and are eager for our pupils to enjoy their educational journey, rather than having their heads down as the world passes them by. That is not to say that our pupils do not achieve exceptional academic results – a glance at the recent league tables and inspection report will show you just how well they do – it is just that we aim to create the right balance in education, a place where achievement takes place, but without unnecessary and damaging pressure. Our pastoral care is second to none in supporting the transition through the different stages of childhood and school.
