Berkshire’s Nature Recovery: A Call to Action for Lambourn Residents

The Berkshire Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) is a county-wide initiative aimed at revitalising and preserving our natural habitats. Spearheaded by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, with support from Bracknell, Reading, Slough, West Berkshire, and Wokingham councils, this strategy seeks to map and enhance areas crucial for biodiversity. The goal is to create a cohesive Nature Recovery Network across England, as mandated by the 2021 Environment Act.

As of 18th February 2025, the LNRS public consultation is open and will run until 24th March. This is a pivotal opportunity for residents of Lambourn to contribute their knowledge and passion for local wildlife. By participating, you can help identify key areas that need protection and suggest potential sites for habitat restoration.
