Carnival and Festival meeting – we need YOU!

Another year, another Carnival?

Well yes, but only if we can get more help. We desperately need more people, of all ages, to join our group to get involved in the planning and running of Carnival and the other Festival events.
Did you know that, as well as running these events, we also raise money which we distribute to local good causes in the valley? Last year we gave out just under £800.
We meet once a month, in the early evening, at the British Legion, just 4 or 5 times in the year – starting in the run up to Carnival – and once afterwards for a “wash-up” and to consider the funding requests we have received.

Our official title is “Committee” but it is a very informal arrangement, more like a planning working party. We just get together for an hour or so with a drink, to share progress or problems around the various events we are running.
