Farncombe Farm Visit
Wednesday 10 July 2019 6:30pm Farncombe Farm
Come and join us for a walk around a wonderful conservation farm just outside Lambourn, in the heart of the North Wessex Downs.
This family run farm dating from the early 1900’s became a conservation farm sixteen years ago. Old fashioned grass varieties were planted, and since then farmed without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Their chalk grassland supports a huge diversity of flowers, butterflies and moths. Winter bird feeding plots help maintain the wild bird diversity.
They also have a breeding herd of Traditional Hereford cattle and a flock of award winning Welsh badger-faced mountain sheep.
Burgers for sale at the finish in aid of James Ballantyne Memorial Fund
