Lambourn Community Interest Company Wins Community Champion Award

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that the Lambourn Junction Community Interest Company has been awarded the Community Champion – Community Group of the Year 2024 by West Berkshire Council. This incredible recognition celebrates the hard work and dedication of our amazing volunteers, organisers, supporters, and sponsors without whom none of our projects would be possible.
From the Youth Club to the Food Bank, the Lunch Club, the Lambourn Shed, The Youth Council, The Friendship Cafe and the Environmental Group, The Lambourn Website and other projects, we’re committed to making a real difference in and for Lambourn.
This award is not just for us, it’s for the whole community. Your engagement and support are what keep us going, and we’re so grateful for every person who helps by giving their skills and time.
The award was presented by the Chair of West Berkshire Council, Councillor Billy Drummond, at a ceremony held at Shaw House, Newbury on the 18th March.

This is great news! Who are the people in the picture? What is/who are the Lambourn Junction Community Company? Some things need to be spelled out for people ‘not in the know’! An article laying it all out would be great!

I’ve updated the article with a link to the website of the Lambourn Junction. It is the not for profit organisation behind many of the Community initiatives in Lambourn, including the food bank, the youth club, the lunch club, the friendship, café, the community bus, the environmental group, the Lambourn Orchard, the Lambourn website and many others.
